My daughter, aged 9, just received this for her birthday and LOVES it! She played with it for 5 hours straight - I could not believe it. I love that it's Lego and a good quality but I also love that it is such a great toy for encouraging spatial awareness. She loves following the directions to create what she sees on the box and then she loves to make her own creation. We have lots of Legos and she can incorporate all the sets we already have. Product Description There's always a lot to do at Heartlake Stables. Mia loves hanging out at the stables and taking care of the horses. Help her groom and saddle the horses. Practice riding or jumping with 2 practice jumps. Feed them hay or carrots and give them water from the well. Keep the stables clean and sparkling with the pitchfork and wheelbarrow. When it's time for competition get the horses ready with soap, ribbons, brushes, bows and other accessories. Hang the prize ribbon on the stable door. LEGO Ultimate Building Set - 405 Pieces (6166)

I got this for my sons aged 5 and 7. Great value, hate all the little teeny, tiny pieces that will FOR SURE get lost, swept up, vacuumed up,e tc., but otherwise a great starter set for kids. Good booklet too with building ideas, however I wish they had included more building ideas, especially to stimulate the imagination of my younger son. Overall, excellent produce though. Only one suggestion to lego with this kind of container -- maybe a sub section just for the teeniest of pieces? Otherwise, overall A+

I bought these for a 5 year old boy who just wanted Legos from his Secret Santa..:-) These are the best deal out there! I don't know how educational they are, except for motor skills and developing creativity or imagination. If your looking for a Fun toy where a kid can spend hours, then these are it!
